Questions for visitors to the IAW trade fair

IAW Ticket

Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the IAW trade fair as a private individual, as the IAW trade fair is aimed exclusively at trade visitors (business people). A valid trade license is required.

Each individual person must carry out a separate new registration. A separate e-mail address and password must be used for this. If the persons all work in one company, the company data can be the same.

The accompanying person must register separately. A separate e-mail address and password must be used for this. If the accompanying person is an employee of the same company, the company details can be the same.

Each person must be registered with their own e-mail address. Multiple use of an e-mail address is not possible.

There is no limit to the number of tickets for companies. A company can order admission tickets for any number of employees. Each employee wishing to visit the IAW trade fair requires their own personalized admission ticket.

If you are already registered, log in under “Log in as a visitor” with your e-mail address and password. You can now access your free admission ticket and/or change your personal details. If you would like to visit the IAW trade fair for the first time and are not yet registered, please complete a new registration.

Go to the website www.iaw-messe.de/passwort-vergessen.aspx. Enter your e-mail address, which you entered when you registered, in the “E-mail” field and click on “Reset password”. You will then receive a new password by e-mail. Please contact us if the e-mail address you registered with is no longer known.

The personalized admission ticket and a copy of the valid trade license for identification as a trade visitor as well as a valid identity card. Trade visitor checks will be carried out on site.

Children/young people up to and including the age of 15 may visit the trade fair when accompanied by their parents and do not require an admission ticket. Young people aged 16 and over require their own admission ticket and a copy of their employer’s trade license.

Dogs are generally not permitted on the exhibition grounds or in the halls of the IAW trade fair.

Visitors with a trade visitor ticket may not take suitcases, trolleys and backpacks into the exhibition grounds/halls. They must be handed in at the checkroom. Very large, obviously empty bags must also be handed in at the checkroom. Briefcases, handbags and pilot’s cases the size of flight luggage (approx. 55x40x20 cm) are permitted.

Booking via the Koelnmesse portal (see Arrival/Accommodation) always provides the latest offers at the best prices. The capacity of hotels close to the trade fair in Cologne-Deutz is limited, so prices may be higher here. There are very good alternatives in Cologne’s Old Town, most of which have fast public transport connections. Cologne Central Station – Koelnmesse Deutz, for example, takes 2 minutes by S-Bahn.

Questions for exhibitors at the IAW trade fair

Everything about the exhibition stand

By sending in the binding registration forms with signature by e-mail or fax.

The booking is only for the space without stand equipment or rear walls, except for the first-time exhibitor package, which includes a system stand and other services.

We work with reliable and reasonably priced stand construction companies that offer system stands as well as individual stand construction and e.g. back walls or carpeting at reasonable prices.

The first-time exhibitor offer includes stand construction as a package, electrical connection and extended PR services. (e.g. presentation slot in the supporting program, presentation as first-time exhibitor on the website, 2,500 free banner ads, etc.).

The advertising fee is obligatory regardless of the time of registration and includes the following services, among others: Entry in the trade fair catalog and Internet with company logo and PR text, full-page advertisement on the website, free guest tickets and advertising materials in any quantity, VIP cards according to stand size.

For services (e.g. electricity connection and consumption, water connection, additional tickets or parking permits), a flat-rate advance payment will be charged regardless of the actual scope of the services ordered, which will be offset against the final invoice a few weeks after the end of the event.

The registration deadline for the upcoming IAW trade fair in March 2025 is February 8, 2025. Registration by this date is the only way to ensure that all services can still be ordered on time and without surcharges.

Orders for power connections or other technical services are placed via Koelnmesse’s online portal; each exhibitor will be sent the login details in good time.

Unfortunately, for fire safety reasons, no storage space is available in the halls. If storage is required, the exhibition forwarding agent DB Schenker is available for this purpose.

The structural conditions and regulations of the “Technical Guidelines” of the Cologne Exhibition Center apply. The exhibitor or his authorized company is obliged to construct his stand in accordance with these conditions. No separate stand construction permit need be applied for as long as the stand construction complies with these regulations. The maximum construction height for stand construction and advertising is 6.50 m with one meter clearance to all stand boundaries. A maximum of 3.50 m may be built on the stand boundary. Exhibits are exempt from this regulation. Structural restrictions may apply depending on the height of the hall. Exceeding the maximum construction heights can be applied for with the written consent of the neighbors at the Nordwestdeutsche Messegesellschaft.

A flat fee of € 300.00 is charged for co-exhibitors. The co-exhibitor will receive all documents such as exhibitor passes, parking tickets, guest passes, etc. separately and will be listed in the trade fair catalog and on the Internet.

Further information for exhibitors

Exhibitor passes and parking permits are included free of charge in sufficient quantities according to stand size. The exhibitor passes will be personalized and made available for download in the exhibitor login area. Parking permits can also be ordered in the exhibitor login area and then collected from the exhibition office on site in Cologne.
