IAW kicks off Best Deals in Retail with an increase in exhibitors
The 35th IAW trade fair kicks off in Cologne on September 5, 2023. Until September 7, buyers will be stocking up on inexpensive goods for the coming season and the upcoming Christmas business at the multi-channel platform for retailers. 290 exhibitors (spring 2023: 277 exhibitors) from more than 20 countries await them with the Best Deals in Retail on around 30,000 m² in exhibition halls 6 and 9. In particular, 65 first-time exhibitors, including from France, Italy, Turkey, Belgium and Poland, will provide plenty of fresh product ideas.
Despite – or perhaps because of – the difficult economic situation, exhibitor participation actually increased slightly. After all, with its broad spectrum of 15 product categories, the IAW offers exactly what retailers need right now to inspire their customers. According to a survey conducted by the Cologne Institute for Retail Research (IFH), customers are shopping in a very campaign-driven and targeted manner due to the persistently high price level.
The fact that the IAW also provides space for interesting niches enables the expected 5,000 buyers from almost 80 countries to expand their product ranges with new and profitable product ideas. An attractive supporting program at congress level in the E-Commerce Arena opens up many opportunities for effective networking and provides an outlook on the future of retail – whether stationary or online. The latest findings on AI topics will be covered as well as business tips for maximizing profits on Amazon and eBay and sourcing strategies for more sales.
